NAV SHIKSHA SAMAJ (NSS)
It was constituted in 1957 with Late Harish Chandra Mathur (MP) as its first president, followed by Late Pukhraj Ji Mathur (SP), Roshan Raj Ji and Shri Jivan Lal Ji and many renowned personalities in succession.
Purpose of NAV SHIKSHA SAMAJ (NSS) was to improve academic standard of school and also to explore and implement innovative ideas in the field of academics. ‘Sir Pratap Vidhi Mahavidyalaya’ is a giant leap forward in this direction heralding a new age of learning adopting modern teaching methodologies. It has resulted from great enterprising efforts made by entire NSS team with Girish Mathur (President) at the helm of affairs. Courses offered are LLB & BA LLB. In future more courses of study are envisaged. True to its expectation (of NSS) ‘Sir Pratap Vidhi Mahavidyalaya’ standing along side ‘Sir Pratap Sr. Sec. School’ is addition a glorious academic asset.
We owe this Mahavidyalaya to divine blessings and patronising support of Sir Pratap Singh ji. NSS is ever indebted to respected Late. Munshi Shubh Lal ji pioneer and Philanthropist. The Mahavidyalaya is dedicated to this visionary.
Mission
Impart quality education conforming to highest academic standards with due regard to social responsibilities. Exposure to group discussions, interactive communication with distinguished guest faculties from academics, working professionals from business and industry will form the highlight of teaching system, this will enable the students to develop logical and analytical skills. They will learn to understand legal niceties and nuances pertaining to law during brainstorming sessions.
To sum up, we groom students into powerful intellectual force capable of mitigating ignorance fear and misconception about law pervading in the society, thus moving towards a more civilised society. Indeed we produce future ATTORNEYS OF SOCIAL JUSTICE.
Vision
Going forward ‘Sir Pratap Vidhi Mahavidyalaya’ will evolve into a major learning center with distinguished faculties of international repute. Short term job oriented certification courses and 5 year integrated MBA/Law will be introduced. Every educational organisation is also an organ of society and must have a clear social objective also. Students will be sent to rural and urban areas to acquaint themselves with prevailing perception of law and general social behaviour.
At the learning center, scope of downsizing the enormity of law will be researched in keeping with idea of ‘minimum law & maximum governance’ facilitating shift from ‘law avoiding’ to ‘law abiding society’. Students will dedicate themselves to social awareness and social justice and remain relevant to the changing needs of society.
